Step 1

Take your time.
If you rush you may twist the vinyl or get it stuck to itself and that will ruin all the fun.

So you're ready to install your vinyl graphic or lettering? Great! Let's go ...

Step 2
Clean the surface well. Using 70% rubbing alcohol works best, just a light cleaning. Let dry completely.

Step 3
Measure the length and width of your graphic, will it fit where you want it to go? Just make sure.

Step 4
Determine where you want to place your graphic. Notice the graphic has 3 layers, the top masking material, the letters or graphic themselves, and the bottom paper. Center your graphic appropriately!

Step 5
Take your squeegee and lightly re-cover the surface (since during shipping it may have lost a little of it's stickiness. This should only take 30 seconds

Step 6
Mark where you want your graphic to go, paying attention to level and equalness within the area you choose to put your graphic. Find the center of your graphic vertically and horizontally.

Step 7
Vertical Centering!

Step 8
After you have determined where your putting your graphic and found the center and made it equal and level ... have someone else help you. If placing on a car have them hold it up to the surface or window ... check again for evenness and level. Place a long piece of masking tape over the entire center. This is called vertical graphic installation. Secure the tape to the graphic and the area it is being placed on, i.e, the side window. IF YOU HAVE A SMALL GRAPHIC - you can tape the graphic horizontally on one edge, lift the graphic as explained below and apply the whole graphic at once ... SMALL GRAPHICS ONLY! Usually smaller than 9" x 9".

Step 9
Securing tape!

Step 10
Grab the right edge and begin to peel the top layer back ... notice the vinyl comes with it! IF THE VINYL DOESN'T COME WITH THE TOP MASK LAYER - STOP press down again on the vinyl that doesn't come up with the TOP masking and re-try to pull up the top masking layer.

Step 11
Continue in a SLOW upward fashion ... TRY rocking the top masking paper a bit (it helps bring up the vinyl letters and graphics).

Step 12
Holding the top sheet firmly, cut the bottom sheet across as shown all the way. Take your time!

Step13
There ... now you have just the glass or other (substrate) the place where your graphic or lettering sticks too.

Step 13
Gently allow the top sheet to lay back into position while guiding it with your other hand, in a SMOOTH but deliberate fashion. DON'T RUSH!

Step 14
After your top layer is secure, take your squeegee and firmly "squeegee" the letters and graphics. Do this in an upward and downward fashion covering all of the letters and graphics. Not to hard but not to light either.

Step 14 Continued ...

Step 15
Remove the thin vertical masking tape from the entire project ... CAREFUL not to take the top paper with it!

Step 16
Peel this side, the same as the first side!

Step 16 Continued ...

Step 17
Again the bottom paper comes out ... this is the other half of the piece you cut with the scissors! Are you doing ok so far? If not call us 570-926-1187

Step 18
Apply the other top sheet and vinyl in the same fashion as the first side.

Step 19
Squeegee this side also.

Step 19 Continued ...
Step 20

Peel this side across the whole project. GO SLOW and keep the top paper at a LOW angle. Place your hand in front of the peel as you go along, holding the vinyl in place ... rarely, will it move on you ... it's pretty secure! Use a SLOW rocking fashion side to side.

Step 20 Continued ...

Step 21
You're done! See it wasn't that hard. Let the vinyl sit before touching or rubbing it. If you get bubbles use a hair blower to heat them slightly and a small pin to puncture a tiny hole on the side of the bubble, then simply use your finger to get the air out. Don't wash your car for about a day. These vinyl graphics and lettering should last a good long time. Now go have fun and show off your graphic or business!
